Patient Story
Disease : Appendicitis
Last Updated on : 26 Feb 2009
Case Started on : 12 Jan 2009
This is the story of a middle-aged village woman. She came at Dr.Ravi clinic with recurrent abdominal pain and fever. She was carrying the ultrasound report after visiting a local physician. She has been clinically diagnosed as a case of Appendicitis and Ultrasonography confirmed it. ( Appendix is visible in Ultrasound only when it is enlarged and becomes 2 times of its original size).
The appendix is a small, closed, tube-like sac at the end of the first part of the colon (or large bowel). This small appendage can become irritated and sometimes infected when its opening into the colon is blocked with mucus, stool, or a swelling of the lymph tissue. The severely inflamed appendix may rupture, with the potential of spreading infection through the abdomen. Sometimes the body itself will contain the bacteria released by
this rupture and heal the appendix, and the pain and infection will resolve naturally. Antibiotic management may result in the appendicular lump. Homeopathy can treat such cases without surgery in not in emergency.
The local physician advised her to meet a surgeon and get it operated.
Obviously, it caused an anxiety and also due to financial reason one of the grateful patients of the village has referred her to Dr.Ravi at his Balrampur clinic.
Dr. Ravi assured her and started the treatment process
