A young woman came to consult Dr. Ravi on 24th November 2012 with severe fungal infection on her right foot toe nail. Her toe nail was brittle, thick and ragged. Sometimes bleeding can be also seen. On asking how & when this problem started. She told that this time it started 1 months back but usually she get fungal infection once in a year. Sometimes it was really painful. The nail was lifted from the nail bed. Whenever there was fungal infection she gets half nail separated from nail bed and take out damaged skin. Dr. Ravi told that this is not the right solution and it could cause severe issues. She wanted to totally get rid of this infection because it’s troubling her daily life and for this reason she came to consult Dr. Ravi, as he is well known of dealing complex cases. Considering all her problems Dr. Ravi started treatment process.
After 1 Month and 26 Days
When she came for follow up on 19th January 2013, there was improvement in her fungal infection. The thickness, ragging and brittleness of right toenail were improving. The color which was initially yellow is coming back to normal color. Only side of nail bed was left to be cured. On looking up to the improvement she was hopeful and believes that she will be cured soon without any recurrence.
After 4 Months and 13 Days
When she came for follow up on 6th April 2013, she was totally cured of onychomycosis (fungal nail infection). Her toenail were back to normal colour and appearance. There was no thickness, brittleness, and ragging of nails left. She was happy with the treatment process. Now the only concerned issue was that this fungal infection was recurrent. Dr. Ravi continued treatment for few more months and she reported no recurrence. So, her treatment was stopped.
After 5 Years , 10 Months and 9 Days
After approx 5 years her parents came to consult Dr. Ravi regarding some health issues. On asking about their daughter, they told that since the day she had stopped treatment there was no recurrence seen. She totally got rid of continuous fungal infection. She was happy with Dr. Ravi’s treatment which helped her to get totally cured of onychomycosis. Now she is happily leading normal life.
