Disease : Chronic-Blepharospasm

A gentleman from Bhopal has called Dr.Ravi from Bhopal for his annoying and embarrassing trouble. This condition Blepharospasm or blinking of the eyelid ( sometimes face in severe condition ) is the very embarrassing and annoying condition to patients. As soon as this condition arises, the patient goes to eye specialist and they initially prescribe some artificial tears ( lubricating eye drop) in the apprehension of dryness of eyes. If the patient doesn't respond to conservative treatment, eye specialist send them to a neurologist, and there only available treatment is Botox injection ( medicine derived from a toxin of food poisoning ). This botox injection is given in eyelids and in most cases scarring is results. Few patients got relief initially but as soon as the effect of Botox is over condition become worse ( mostly in 4-5 months). Botox has its own side effects and now patients are sent to counseling and rehabilitation therapy including lid lifting surgery and spect with appendages (wires ) holding lids mechanically.
This disease initially seemed to be neurological trouble but as per experience is neuropsychiatric trouble.

This patient, an engineer by profession is working in a Govt enterprise. Botox injection served no better in his condition. Then he found one cured cases video of Dr.Ravi over Youtube with a ray of hope.

There was some relapse in the condition of Blepharospasm but not to that extent. As this disease is largely governed by mental stress, it occurs and aggravated by mental anxiety. The patient is working in BSNL and nowadays BSNL is under threat and in loss, it was creating lots of anxiety and apprehension about the future, so the patient was facing some problems. Although he was feeling much better with treatment. His treatment continued.
