This is the story of Kusum Tiwari, a housewife, from Baradolia, a small place in District Balrampur. She was suffering from a disease called Lichen Planus for last 2 years. Lichen planus is an inflammatory skin condition, characterized by an itchy, non-infectious rash. It consists of small, many-sided, flat-topped, pink or purple bumps. Lichen planus is a non-infectious, inflammatory skin disorder.
During her first consultation with Dr. Ravi, she told him that she consulted a dermatologist. She took the medication prescribed by him but got temporary relief. The problem relapsed whenever she discontinued the treatment. She was very afraid of the result of disease, moreover, reasons were her social life. She was having intense itching and sometimes that caused her to bleed. After a deep case taking Dr.Ravi started her medication. She was asked to visit again after 14 days.
After 29 Days
The patient visited for the first time, her eruptions were drying with rough surface skin. Itching and burning were reduced that had given her immense relief. There was no any new eruption. The color of the eruptions was faded and looking blackish.
After 1 Month and 26 Days
During this visit, her eruptions were dried than earlier. The skin over it was having silvery skin over it. Her spots were less itchy than earlier, burning was also a little less. She was having no new growth since treatment started. Treatment continued with the same medicine and she was asked to visit after 28 days.
After 2 Months and 24 Days
During this visit, the patient was quite calm. Area of the eruption was also getting shrunken and seeming to be dried up. The itching was the same as previous follow-up but burning was reduced this time. The pictures were compared to earlier and found that there was only a slight change after the last visit, thus the power of medicine was increased.
After 3 Months and 22 Days
During this visit, there were no new eruptions seen. Almost all the eruptions were dry. The bulging of eruptions was reduced and they seemed like spots only. The itching was controlled.
After 4 Months and 20 Days
There was a visible recovery in her case. As she got rid of all her sufferings, she was happy with the treatment process. Her lichen planus was totally cured without any burning and itching. Only some spots on the skin were left and Dr. Ravi assured that it will be disappeared on continuing treatment.
After 5 Months and 25 Days
The patient came on 15-09-2017 for her sixth follow-up. By this time many of her spots were gone, only a few spots were left with a dull appearance. No itching or burning was left.
