Let me share a case of Foot Drop.
Here is a case from the Clinic of Balrampur. One of the patients of Dr Ravi referred a case of unilateral foot drop in a small child.
The cause of the foot drop was due to intragluteal injection for some trouble. This child was suffering from fever, and cold and his father visited a quack in the village.
The usual practice made by quacks in Indian villages is the administration of the injection. Lay people have great faith even sometimes injections of multivitamin injections give them an excellent psychological relief.
Unfortunately, the same practice turned blunder on the poor child. The injection got wrongly placed, and this injured the nerve.
Injury to the nerve in such types of cases is both mechanical and chemical. The needly causes the rupture of the nerve sheath, and pushing the chemical content of injection causes more damage to the nerve fibres.
Immediately spasm happened, and the child was not able to put her feet on the ground. At the same time, his foot could not bear the weight of the body, and he could not stand or walk.
The local Doctor told the father that his son got paralysed and would remain the same for a lifetime.
The saddest part of the story was his father immediately sold his cattle for financial need, and after a few days of treatment, nothing good was observed in the child. Father got a heart attack and expired.
Mother and relative visited me from a reference.
I have started the treatment, and the child recovered quickly under the medicine transmission of Lycopodium 0/1.
The case got recorded with a webcam as in those days, the digital camera was not available. Hence e can not produce the sound in the video.
